K-9 Officers got the protection they needed!
When we started this program to purchase bullet proof vests for our K-9 Officers, we never expected that we would have received the great response from the community. The employees of Conway Animal Clinic started collecting money after learning that protective vests are not purchased by the departments. We made a unanimous decision to help these K-9 Officers. Donations collected in 2005 to 2006 helped vest five K-9 officers that did not have protection before. We were able to help not only Faulkner County Sheriff’s Department and Conway Police Department but also Heber Springs Police Department and Morrilton Police Department. Thanks to Lifetek Armor, Inc.’s Terry Nelson for giving us a special price for the vests so we can get more for our money. This was a wonderful way to help protect the dogs that protect us not to mention they are family pets of their handlers. Thanks to all that helped with this project and made donations, we and the Officers appreciate it!
